It is the head shrine of over 2,300 Sumiyoshi shrines across Japan, with nearly 1,800 years of history. Visit in the early morning and the vermilion Sorihashi bridge is especially quiet — you can hear your own footsteps. At New Year it fills with worshippers, and in summer the lively Sumiyoshi Festival takes place. In front of Sumiyoshi-Taisha Sta, the Hankai Tram slowly passes by. Locals call it the “chin-chin densha” (ding-ding tram), and its sound is part of daily life in this old downtown area. Walk along Kohama shopping street in the late afternoon, when vegetable and fish shops are closing and kids cycle home from school. There are no tourist crowds here, but there are Showa-era coffee shops and standing bars — perfect if you want to feel the rhythm of ordinary Osaka life. “Great at communication when help is needed. Location has family mart, lawson & a grocery store. Also has walkable bus stations that is 210 yen per ride and customers. Children are 110 yen from ages 5-11, adult(12+)price is 210 yen. Overall clean space and quiet neighborhood 😌”

“Very clean, the environment matches the description in the pictures, very comfortable. My family and I had a great stay. There is also a Lawson convenience store nearby. One thing to note is that the parking space is a bit small, so you might want to choose a smaller car if driving. Also, there is a window in the bathroom.”
